Tata Safari has the stylish and sporty looks. The interiors and exteriors of this car are much classy and elegant the price tag is comparatively lower than the other SUV models. It is best preferable car model and the dearest car among the many SUV lovers. The model was refined in the year of 2005 with more advanced features and safari changed to Safari DICOR. This was the first diesel car with 3 liter engine by the Tata. The car was further modified in the year of 2007 and released a more powerful 2.2 liter engine which is proficient of producing 140 PS of power at 4000 rpm and with max torque of 320Nm at 1700 rpm.

Mahindra is the well known and successful car brand in Indian auto industry. Mahindra has launched its Scorpio car in the SUV segment. By the launch of Mahindra Scorpio, the Tata Safari finally gets its competitor in the market and fight started among these cars. The sale of Tata Safari was affected by the launch of Mahindra Scorpio. After that the company has soon launched the latest and upgrade model of Tata Safari DICOR with revised price tags to attract the more buyers.

There is although a major difference in Safari and Scorpio. Safari is designed with the all decent and stylish features where as Scorpio is good for its appearance and looks. Safari is loaded with most powerful engine of 2.2 VVT engine. Tata Safari is lot more dominating than Mahindra Scorpio. Power windows, immobilizer, ABS, dual Airbag, electrically adjustable side glasses, sporty fog lamps, tubeless tyres and lots more are similar features of the cars.
