The 11th-generation Accord gets minor updates for 2025—but is it enough to dethrone the Camry?
I firmly believe that when humanity catalogs its greatest achievements before venturing into the stars, the Honda Accord will land somewhere between “electric refrigeration” and “the flu vaccine.” Having owned two generations of Accords and reviewed several others, I’ve found every iteration to be the quintessential mid-size car of its time. So, when I was offered the chance to spend a week with the 2025 Honda Accord, I didn’t hesitate. A week with one of my all-time favorite cars? Absolutely.
For 2025, the updates are minimal. The changes include some feature shuffling and the introduction of a new base trim. My top-tier Hybrid Touring model now comes with a heated steering wheel—an addition absent in the 2024 model. Beyond that, this is essentially the same car that debuted with the eleventh generation in 2023, featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an e-CVT and electric hybrid motor.
So far, I’ve driven just five miles in it, but my first impressions are exactly as I remembered: it’s excellent. This test car, finished in Urban Gray Pearl, looks stunning against the backdrop of overcast, rainy Christmas weather. The two-tone interior adds a touch of elegance that makes the cabin feel more upscale than most competitors in the segment.
Priced at $40,850 (with pearl paint as its sole option), this Touring trim edges toward the higher end of the mid-size sedan spectrum. However, the interior quality and refinement justify the premium, making it a standout in its class. My only gripe so far is some noticeable road noise—likely exacerbated by the 235/40 tires on these 19-inch wheels. Aside from that, I’m inclined to slot this car squarely between my Frigidaire refrigerator and the flu shot in terms of modern marvels.
If there’s anything you’re curious about, drop your questions in the comments, and I’ll do my best to address them either here or in the full review. Until then, happy holidays!
