We’re Driving the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid—What Do You Want to Know?

Honda Accord 11th generation is getting minor changes for the year 2025—is that enough to take the crown away from the Camry?
I am very much convinced that when human beings list their greatest achievements before going to the stars, the Honda Accord will be somewhere between “electric refrigeration” and “the flu vaccine.” I have owned two generations of Honda Accords and also, I have reviewed several models, so I can say every time there is a new generation, it is the most perfect mid-size car of the respective era. Therefore, I didn’t hesitate to take a week-long test drive with the 2025 Honda Accord when the opportunity came to me. I could not refuse a week with a car that is one of my all-time favorites? Yeah, sure.
The 2025 model gets only a few updates. The changes entail a little bit of feature shuffling and also the debut of a new base trim. The hybrid touring unit, which is my favorite trim, is now equipped with a heated steering wheel—this is a feature that was missing in the 2024 model. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same one that was launched along with the 11th generation back in 2023 and it has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with an e-CVT and an electric hybrid motor.
I have only managed to cover five miles so far and thus, my initial impressions are exactly like the ones I already knew: the car is top-notch.
On a rather dull, rainy Christmas day, this Honda Accord that comes in Urban Gray Pearl looks great and it’s a pleasure to drive it. The two-tone interior not only spices up the cabin but also makes it seem more luxurious than most competitors in the segment.
At a price of $40,850 (with the pearl paint as the only option), this Touring trim is a bit on the expensive side of the mid-size sedan spectrum. Nevertheless, the interior quality and the level of refinement that the car offers are enough to make it stand out in its class. I can only complain about the road noise that is quite noticeable and that is probably due to the 235/40 tires on these 19-inch wheels. Other than that, I would probably rank this car right in between my Frigidaire refrigerator and the flu shot in the list of modern marvels.
In case you have any questions, please feel free to ask me by dropping them in the comments, and I will try to reply to them either here or in the full review. Until then, I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
